Women’s Digital Imaging (WDI) utilizes the most advanced state-of-the-art technology including Full-field Digital Mammography (FFDM) and Computer-aided Detection (CAD) to facilitate earlier detection and diagnosis. In October 2003, WDI will be the first imaging facility in New Jersey to install the most recent FDA approved digital mammography unit (GE Senographe DS).

In addition to a new software (“fine view”) which is stated to have increased resolution particularly in detecting microcalcifications. In addition it has a “curved paddle” which should increase patient comfort during compression.
