Dr. Lisa Weinstock’s office has all the comforts of home: cozy furnishing, fresh-brewed coffee in the kitchen and plush spa robes in the dressing room. “Welcome to my dream facility,” says the radiologist and founder of Women’s Digital Imaging.

The décor is not the only thing for which Dr. Weinstock takes full responsibility. “Having my own place is the only way I can make sure things are done right,” says the Teaneck resident, whose for-women-only center is one of just a handful in the area. She is passionate about providing patients with comprehensive breast, pelvic and bone imaging studies — using the most advanced technology available — in a compassionate environment.

Dr. Weinstock did her residency in diagnostic radiology at Hackensack University Medical Center and was one of the first fellows in breast imaging at Columbia Presbyterian University Medical Center. Using state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including digital mammography and computer-aided detection, she reads all x-rays and ultrasounds herself, then reviews them immediately with patients. If additional tests are needed, she guarantees results in 24 hours. “Why should anyone have to agonize for days?” asks the mother of four boys (including 7-year-old twins).

Weinstock will adjust office hours to accommodate patient emergencies and she and her staff even handle referrals and facilitate appointments for those who require further treatment. “I empathize with what women go through, and it's important that they know someone is here for them.”
